San Carlos de Bariloche is located in the western area of the Province of Río Negro, in the heart of the Nahuel Huapi National Park. Lying on the southern shore of the lake after which the park is named, it is the perfect combination between the speed of the city and the quietness of nature.
Only 1,640 kilometers away from the city of Buenos Aires, this tourist city has a hotel and gastronomic infrastructure that was first developed over eight decades ago. Not only is Bariloche a mandatory destination for students on their graduation trip, but it also welcomes visitors from all over the world who enjoy its privileged landscapes, its tourist services and the facilities of one of the main ski resorts in the country: Mount Catedral.
The scope of activities seducing the tourists that visit Bariloche is in force all through the year. In the summer, adventure is the protagonist of rafting, hiking, mountain biking and horse-riding excursions. In the winter, the white sports enter the scene. Likewise, lake excursions across the Nahuel Huapi provide access to spots that are unique in the world, such as the myrtle forest on Victoria Island. The various tourist circuits in Bariloche include sites like Mount Tronador, Puerto Pañuelo, Puerto Blest, Los Alerces Cascade and Small Circuit.
Bariloche is a pioneer among the lands that man has chosen as a destination to meet their need of traveling for pleasure
